Yes, travel is useful (even if it's metaphorical). I started reading
The Year of Magical Thinking and it's all about death and grief and it seems appropriate for fall because all the trees are dying. I like when nature and my reading patterns coordinate with each other.

Joan Didion is the first person who made me want to make a souffle. I think it was due to reading 'Magical Thinking'.
